I'm kinda pissed at people who have guestbooks installed and thier diaryland notes activated but don't give the courtesy to reply to thier notes and guestbook entries. People are trying to compliment your diary, you owe it to yourself to at least give a simple "thank you". I mean seriously, sometimes I don't even think people bother to check them. =/
What I'm saying is if you are going to ignore your avenues of contact, why bother even having them in the first place? Just unlink your guestbook and disable your notes, that way your diary is kept on a more "personal" level and people don't have to bother leaving a message that will never be read and/or replied to. Better yet put a lock on your diary that way people don't have to be moved by your writing in the first place and relate to what you are feeling.
I understand people having lives and not being able to update thier diary and being able to check thier contact stuff, but I've actually signed meaningful guestbook entries and/or left meaningful notes to people whose diaries, layouts and wrtiting sytle I've admired and/or related to, people who update thier diaries regularly and still for some unknown reason don't bother to give return even the simplest of thank yous. I mean really, how hard is it to glance over to your notes and guestbook and kick off a simple response while you are waiting for diaryland servers to get un-busy?
I guess that's one of the reasons I haven't purchaced a premium membership yet. I fear with the banner ads, I may get flooded with so much correspondence that I may not be able to keep up with people who are nice enough to leave notes and guestbook entries regarding my diary. Nonetheless I will do my best to give a response or at least put up a disclaimer in my guestbook that I won't be able to respond right away.
But enough with the bitching, if you want to talk to people who are cool and courteous enough to respond and even return a compliment, look no further than my guestbook and diaryland notes. Check out thier diaries and if you like what you see, then drop them a note or sign thier guestbook. Now if you will excuse me I have much dead weight to unload from my buddy list. ;)
