Oh God, where do I begin. Ah yes, school. I had my first class on Wednesday and my second class starts tomorrow. From then on it's Tuesday and Wednesday every week after work. My two classes are Data Analysis and Statistical Software and Technical Writing. The technical writing class is OK so far. The instructor is one of those people that likes to teach so she manages to keep the class interesting. Technical writing is basically the ability to communicate a technical procedure through writing, typically with the use of manuals. An important skill if you develop any type of software or document specific procedures. The other class, like the title says, deals largely with statistics and data analysis with a focus on using statistical software. That was the first class I failed since I had taken on the "computer" track in my academic career. I was bordering on a C and wound up totally bombing the final. This was what 2 years ago? Around the time of 9-11. I should have heeded the signs... *sign* Anyway this is my chance at redemption and I have to admit a small amount of trepidation concerning this class which is why I put it off for two years.

I don't think either class will be easy in terms of projects and homework assignments. I actually predict being quite overwhelmed with the amount of schoolwork I will have to do this quarter so I may slack a little with the updates in my diary over the course of the next few months. =/ This is not to say that being back to school doesn't have it's privileges.  In fact the last time I got "lucky" was with one of my classmates. So, ok it wasn't the fiery sexual romance I may have been hoping for but all in all I have no complaints. In it's own way that relationship however brief had it's moments and isn't that what life is all about? Anyway enough about the past, let's talk about the present. The cuties in my tech writing class, I mean my God, I'm going to have difficulty focusing on the class at hand, but damnit I'm there to learn and I must focus, must focus, must focus... *ahem* Yeah and hookup with one of those cuties from class... Why are females so fucking distracting to me? And I haven't even started my second class yet... *sigh*

Let's see, what else? Oh yeah last weekend. I went with mom and the family on a road trip to NY for a prayer service for the 40th day "anniversary" of my grandmother's death. A tradition of sorts among Filipino Catholics. We also transported My grandmother's ashes from my uncle's house in NY to my aunt's house in Chicago for more prayers. Grandma's remains will ultimately wind up in my mom's apartment within my Grandparent's apartment building. Right back home where she belongs. We passed by Atlantic City on the way home from Chicago. I had an extra $20 promo cash from the Taj Mahal casino. That along with my $100 allowance until next payday a.k.a. "blood money" I made my rounds at the slot machines. Didn't hit any big jackpots so I wound up blowing $80 with $40 left to stretch out until payday which is what the 25th? Yeah my company's paydays are funked up...  What I really wanted to do is hit the blackjack tables, I don't trust those fucking slut machines but alas, the stakes were too damn rich for my blood. Yup, I put the "low" in "low-roller" that evening... Yay me! =p

I'm supposed to be moved back to my apartment downtown, but having to go for last weekend's "festivities" kind of threw off my groove, so I'll be spending the next few days laundering the backlog of clothing that has been piling on the floor this summer and transporting them all back to my apartment. I also need to do some grocery shopping, and pick up some essentials like frozen pizza, ramen noodles, vodka and a case of beer. I should probably clean up my place to like in case I get lucky or something. I wouldn't want any potential sex partners turned off by any overt messiness on my part. =p Hopefully I'll be back at the bachelor pad by this weekend. Yeah baby...
